At the bottom of the page is a video of a focus group which I  had to ask questions to, these question was about the song Ride FoR Me, the reason for doing a focus group was to plan exactly who I would target my video towards. The people used in the video is from all ethnic backgrounds, the advantage of this is that we get a variety of people from each culture to speak about the song in order to help us reach a specific market that we want to reach too.

My group and I decided o film a target audience of male and female to get feedback of our music video this was to get a brief idea of our music video passes the conventions of existing conventions of RnB music videos.

Music video Ratlin Ft Karina 

In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products? 

For this work we have made a group video to explain the conventions of our music video, the things talked about in this video are 

• Genere 
• Camera, angle, shot moments and position
• Editing techniques/ special effects 
• Mise-en-scene 

Here we are talking about the conventions of music videos which we have got ideas from and the fact that if we conformed or subverted our genre that we have been working on. 

We have gained experience from looking a existing music video as we have given examples of music videos we have watched in order to give us ideas on what is in Rnb music and how we could make our different from typical ones. here is Trey Songz music video Slow motion, which shows a couple together getting very interment in this case we have made out music video different to this one as our second protagonist character is seen as being not very interested in her partner and downs really make an effort in spending time with him or loving him which is shown in Trey Songz music video. 

However we have also kind of take inspiration of Jason Derulo music video wiggle wiggle, we have some what subverted an typical RnB music video which has girls in bikinis dancing around tweaking, in this case we have located our music video in just a house, which is not always seen in a music video. We haven't really intrigued the audience by doing a performance video have people dancing as we see in this video on the left. 

Here is Nelly and Kelly Rowland music video Dilemma, we have taken inspiration from this music video by looking at the type of camera shots they have used in this music video, in RnB music videos has a majority of camera shots, angles and movements such as two shot which we have used to shot the positioning of our couple which in our music video is not that close as the woman pushes him aways signifying she is not interested in him.
